Additional Details
Cattle Drive: Head downtown on Sunday, July 5th at 10am, to watch local cowboys routing 110 pair of cattle down Lincoln Avenue. In honor of more than 100 years of Western Heritage, this traditional event retraces the steps down Steamboat Springs’ main street, which is as wide today as it was back in the late 1800s when cattle drives through town were more common.
Cow Town Ranch Tours: Visit local working ranches and tour our cultural countryside with local historians during the ranch tour. Learn about the rich ranching heritage of Routt County and its residents with hands on experiences. Each tour will be different, determined by the location and your tour guides, and may include stops at cattle, sheep, horse, bison and elk ranches throughout the County. The tour takes place from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., July 5th, 9th, 16th and 23rd, pick up and completion location to be determined. Transportation will be provided by Alpine Taxi of Steamboat Springs.
